Have you ever seen Memento? I think I am like that guy, not that I am trying to avenge my murdered wife, but that I have no short term memory. I will answer the phone and someone will tell me there name... 15 seconds later... gone, I have no idea who this person is that I am trying to transfer to my co-worker. It is rather frustrating. I keep thinking about that scene when he ( the Memento dude ) is in the bathroom sitting on the toilet waiting to jump the guy trying to kill him, and then he is like... "I don't feel drunk?” ( he is holding a wine bottle) and then decides to take a shower, and starts on a whole new train of thought.
I have similar experiences all the time; I'm probably just really A.D.D. That guy was probably just really A.D.D. as well, but that doesn't make for as interesting story line.
It's like my brother Jason's joke...
"How many A.D.D. kids does it take to change a light bulb?"
"Wanna go ride bikes?"
